Chopsticks are such a necessary part of life, but why not make them beautiful too? With lacquered chopsticks, you can have the best of both worlds. The strong lacquer base coatings will keep them looking new for years to come, while the traditional patterns add a touch of elegance to any meal. Whether you're enjoying a home-cooked meal or dining out, these chopsticks elevate your experience.
*Note: The chopsticks photographed are Tsugaru lacquerware from Aomori prefecture, but we offer a variety of different products. The video interview included is of Hidehira lacquerware from Iwate prefecture. So you will get chopsticks from the artisan featured below. The lacquer quality is similar, but the designs are different. We will have photographs momentarily. Thanks for your patience.*
Origin: Iwate prefecture
Dimensions: 24 cm / 8 mm
Care: Wash like any other dining ware. But don't soak it in water for an extended period of time. After washing, dry immediately. Don't use in microwave or the dishwasher. Over time, the design might fade, but that is part of the "wabi-sabi" nature of Japanese crafts. Enjoy it and you may find you become more forgiving of yourself and your loved ones.
